ātmasaṃsthaṃ manaḥ kṛtvā na kiñcid api cintayet

Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) is still speaking. uparamet (उपरमेत्) is the verb the gerunds of 6.24 were waiting for.

The verse

Little by little he should come to rest, by an understanding gripped by firmness, and, having set the mind in the self, he should not think of anything at all.

नेपालीमा

दृढताले समातेको बुद्धिद्वारा ऊ बिस्तारै बिस्तारै विश्राममा आउनुपर्छ। मनलाई आत्मामा राखेर उसले केही पनि सोच्नु हुँदैन।

Where it sits

6.24 cleared desire and drew the senses in. This verse is the mind's own step, and it is slow on purpose. The next verse says what to do when the mind will not stay.

The phrases

śanaiḥ śanaiḥ uparamet (शनैः शनैः उपरमेत्) is the pace. Little by little he should come to rest. buddhyā dhṛtigṛhītayā (बुद्ध्या धृतिगृहीतया) is the instrument: an understanding that firmness has hold of.

आत्मसंस्थम् मनः कृत्वा ātmasaṃsthaṃ manaḥ kṛtvā puts the mind in the self. न किञ्चित् अपि चिन्तयेत् na kiñcit api cintayet stops the next motion. He should not think of anything at all.

śanaiḥ uparamet (शनैः उपरमेत्) is śanair uparamet (शनैरुपरमेत्). uparamet buddhyā (उपरमेत् बुद्ध्या) is uparamed buddhyā (उपरमेद् बुद्ध्या). किञ्चित् अपि kiñcit api is kiñcidapi (किञ्चिदपि).

Sanskrit in this line

dhṛtigṛhītayā (धृतिगृहीतया) is instrumental feminine, and it agrees with buddhyā (बुद्ध्या), also instrumental feminine. The firmness has gripped the understanding. Agreement is how you know dhṛti (धृति) describes buddhi (बुद्धि) and not the mind. The mind is neuter, manaḥ (मनः), and it takes ātmasaṃstham (आत्मसंस्थम्). Final t (त्) of the optative, before a voiced b (ब्), is d (द्): uparamed (उपरमेद्).

Say it back

The pace, the instrument, and what he does not think. If śanaiḥ śanaiḥ (शनैः शनैः) comes out as "all at once," stay here.
