The verse

Of the great sages I am Bhṛgu; of words I am the one syllable; of sacrifices I am the muttered sacrifice; of the unmoving I am Himālaya.

नेपालीमा

महर्षिहरूमध्ये म भृगु हुँ, शब्दहरूमध्ये म एक अक्षर हुँ। यज्ञहरूमध्ये म जपेर गरिने यज्ञ हुँ, अचलहरूमध्ये म हिमालय हुँ।

Where it sits

The list keeps changing kind without changing grammar. A syllable among words is the same sort of claim as Bhṛgu among sages. Hear the frame until it is obvious. The separate stories of these names are not required.

Split: महा-ऋषीणाम् + भृगुः + अहम् + गिराम् + अस्मि + एकम् + अक्षरम् + यज्ञानाम् + जप-यज्ञः + अस्मि + स्थावराणाम् + हिमालयः

bhṛguḥ (भृगुः) + aham (अहम्) is bhṛgur aham (भृगुरहम्). Visarga after u (उ) before a vowel becomes r (र्), and the vowels do not merge into a new diphthong. asmi (अस्मि) + ekam (एकम्) is asmy ekam (अस्म्येकम्). i (इ) + e (ए) becomes ye (ये).

Say it back

Of words, the one syllable. girām (गिराम्), एकम् अक्षरम् ekam akṣaram. If akṣaram (अक्षरम्) swells into a system the verse did not name, stay here.
