Arjuna (अर्जुन) is still speaking, to Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण). The verb is not in this verse. It is viśanti (विशन्ति) in 11.27. Meter: triṣṭubh (त्रिष्टुभ्). Four quarters, eleven syllables each, forty-four in the verse.

The verse

And these sons of Dhṛtarāṣṭra (धृतराष्ट्र), all of them, with the hosts of kings, Bhīṣma (भीष्म), Droṇa (द्रोण), and the son of the charioteer, and the chief warriors of our side with them.

Where it sits

The sentence waits. He has named who. 11.27 will say what they do: they rush into the mouths. The men of both armies are in one list. asmadīyaiḥ (अस्मदीयैः) does not spare his own.

The phrases

amī ca tvām dhṛtarāṣṭrasya putrāḥ sarve saha eva avani-pāla-saṅghaiḥ (अमी च त्वाम् धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राः सर्वे सह एव अवनि-पाल-सङ्घैः) puts the king's sons in front of the same tvām (त्वाम्) the gods entered. All of them, with the hosts of kings.

bhīṣmaḥ droṇaḥ sūta-putraḥ tathā asau saha asmadīyaiḥ api yodha-mukhyaiḥ (भीष्मः द्रोणः सूत-पुत्रः तथा असौ सह अस्मदीयैः अपि योध-मुख्यैः) names the men he could not bear to kill in chapter 1, and ours with them. The teacher, the grandsire, the charioteer's son, and the chief warriors of his own side.

Sanskrit in this line

saha (सह) takes the instrumental. avani-pāla-saṅghaiḥ (अवनि-पाल-सङ्घैः), asmadīyaiḥ (अस्मदीयैः), and yodha-mukhyaiḥ (योध-मुख्यैः) are that case: "with" them. अस्मदीयैः + अपि asmadīyaiḥ + api is asmadīyair api (अस्मदीयैरपि). aiḥ (ऐः) before a vowel becomes air (ऐर्). There is still no finite verb. Do not invent one for this verse.

Say it back

The names, and that his own chiefs are in the list. If asmadīyaiḥ (अस्मदीयैः) is left out, he has kept his side off the field.
