12.6

ये तु सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्परः ।
अनन्येनैव योगेन मां ध्यायन्त उपासते ॥

ye tu sarvāṇi karmāṇi mayi saṃnyasya matparaḥ
ananyenaiva yogena māṃ dhyāyanta upāsate

Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) continues, and the sentence does not finish here: teṣām (तेषाम्) in 12.7 answers this ye (ये).

The verse

Those who lay all actions down in me, each of them holding me as highest, and who worship me by a yoga with no other object, meditating, are the people 12.7 says he lifts.

नेपालीमा

जसले सबै कर्म ममा राख्छन्, प्रत्येकले मलाई सर्वोच्च मान्छ, र अर्को विषय नभएको योगले ध्यान गर्दै मलाई पूजा गर्छन्, तिनीहरू ती मानिस हुन् जसलाई उहाँ उठाउनुहुन्छ भनी श्लोक १२.७ ले भन्छ।

Where it sits

The harder road has been named. This is the road he gives. The actions are not dropped on the ground. They are laid in him, and the worship has one object.

Split: ये + तु + सर्वाणि + कर्माणि + मयि + संन्यस्य + मत्-परः + अनन्येन + एव + योगेन + माम् + ध्यायन्तः + उपासते

The phrases

ye tu sarvāṇi karmāṇi mayi saṃnyasya (ये तु सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य) is the act. They lay every action down in him. sarvāṇi (सर्वाणि) and karmāṇi (कर्माणि) are both accusative. tu (तु) brings this group back after the unmanifest worship.

matparaḥ (मत्परः) names what each of them is: a person for whom he is the highest. The form in this line is singular, beside the plural ye (ये). The plural is carried by dhyāyantaḥ (ध्यायन्तः) and by upāsate (उपासते).

ananyena eva yogena māṃ dhyāyantaḥ upāsate (अनन्येन एव योगेन मां ध्यायन्तः उपासते) is the worship. By a yoga that has no second object, meditating, they worship him. अनन्येन + एव ananyena + eva is ananyenaiva (अनन्येनैव). dhyāyantaḥ upāsate (ध्यायन्तः उपासते) is recited dhyāyanta upāsate (ध्यायन्त उपासते): aḥ (अः) before a vowel other than a (अ) drops the visarga and leaves the a (अ).

Sanskrit in this line

अ + ए a + e becomes ai (ऐ). ananyena eva (अनन्येन एव) is one sound, ananyenaiva (अनन्येनैव). ananya (अनन्य) is "no other." eva (एव) presses it. The instrumental yogena (योगेन) is the means of the worship, not a second thing they lay down.

Say it back

Where the actions are laid, and what the yoga has for an object. If ananyena (अनन्येन) comes out as "another yoga," stay here.
