बहिरन्तश्च भूतानामचरं चरमेव च ।
सूक्ष्मत्वात्तदविज्ञेयं दूरस्थं चान्तिके च तत् ॥

bahir antaś ca bhūtānām acaraṃ caram eva ca
sūkṣmatvāt tad avijñeyaṃ dūrasthaṃ cāntike ca tat

Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) is still speaking, to Arjuna (अर्जुन).

The verse

It is outside and inside beings, the unmoving and the moving; because it is subtle, that is not to be discerned; it stands far, and it is near.

Where it sits

The same jñeyam (ज्ञेयम्) stands on both sides of every pair, out and in, still and moving, far and near, and subtlety is why those pairs do not make it a thing one can point at.

Split: बहिः + अन्तः + च + भूतानाम् + अचरम् + चरम् + एव + च + सूक्ष्मत्वात् + तत् + अविज्ञेयम् + दूर-स्थम् + च + अन्तिके + च + तत्

The phrases

bahiḥ antaḥ ca bhūtānām (बहिः अन्तः च भूतानाम्) puts it outside beings and inside them. बहिः + अन्तः + च bahiḥ + antaḥ + ca is recited bahir antaś ca (बहिरन्तश्च).

अचरं चरम् एव च acaraṃ caram eva ca adds the still and the moving. It is both. The neuter again agrees with tat (तत्).

सूक्ष्मत्वात् तत् अविज्ञेयम् sūkṣmatvāt tad avijñeyam gives the reason it is not picked out as an object. Because it is subtle, that is not to be discerned. dūrasthaṃ ca antike ca tat (दूरस्थं च अन्तिके च तत्) is the last pair. It stands far, and it is near. च + अन्तिके ca + antike is cāntike (चान्तिके).

Sanskrit in this line

sūkṣmatvāt (सूक्ष्मत्वात्) is the ablative of an abstract in --tva (त्व). It answers "because of."

That ablative meets tat (तत्), and the two t (त्) sounds stay doubled: sūkṣmatvāt tat (सूक्ष्मत्वात्तत्). Then तत् + अविज्ञेयम् tat + avijñeyam voices the t (त्) to d (द्) before the vowel: tad avijñeyam (तदविज्ञेयम्). One pronoun, two sandhi changes, one after the other.

Say it back

Say the three pairs. If antike (अन्तिके) is forced into the same case as dūra-stham (दूर-स्थम्), stay here. Near is a locative. Far agrees with tat (तत्).
