Mīmāṃsā Sūtra / Adhyāya 1 / 1.4.27
भूमा
bhūmā
The line
By abundance of the marked mantras, the word covers the group, and the sentence is a restatement.
नेपालीमा
चिह्नित मन्त्र धेरै भएकाले शब्दले समूह ढाक्छ, र वाक्य पुनःकथन हो।
Where it sits
bhūmā (भूमा) is the next ground after praise by blame. The laying of the creation-mantras is the case. The restatement-reading is kin to the praise-reading: the sentence does not originate a new act. The act of laying is already in hand.

The words
| Word | Grammar | Sense |
|---|---|---|
| bhūmā (भूमा) | nominative singular, masculine | abundance |
The phrases
The sentence says he lays the creations. The first view takes it as an injunction, because the content would be new. As an injunction it would mean he lays bricks to the accompaniment of creation-mantras. No particular bricks are named, so every mantra with a creation-mark would apply, and the mantras without that mark would have nothing to do.
It is a restatement. The mantras are already obtained by their recitation, for the laying. Mentioning the creations serves the praise of creating. The word is used of the whole group, marked and unmarked, by abundance. Most of the mantras carry the mark. A few do not. The many give the name to the group.
Sanskrit in this line
bhūmā (भूमा) is the nominative singular of bhūman (भूमन्), masculine, abundance. The line is that one word. sṛṣṭi (सृष्टि) is Śabara (शबर)'s example, not a word in the sūtra (सूत्र).
Say it back
Say that he lays the creations restates the laying, and that the name follows the majority of the mantras.
