Mīmāṃsā Sūtra / Adhyāya 10 / 10.6.18

न प्रकृतावकृत्स्नसंयोगात्

na prakṛtāv akṛtsnasaṃyogāt

The line

Not prakṛtāv (प्रकृताव्), because of a compound: akṛtsna (अकृत्स्न), and conjunction.

Where it sits

In Mīmāṃsā (मीमांसा) Sūtra (सूत्र), adhyāya (अध्याय) 10. Bādha (बाध): when a transferred detail is excluded. The line is short. trivṛdvad (त्रिवृद्वद्) from 10.6.17 is still in force. A sūtra (सूत्र) leaves a word out when the line before still holds it. That carrying is anuvṛtti (अनुवृत्ति).

Split: na (न) + prakṛtāv (प्रकृताव्) + akṛtsna-saṃyogāt (अकृत्स्न-संयोगात्)
