paśyādityān vasūn rudrān aśvinau marutas tathā
bahūny adṛṣṭapūrvāṇi paśyāścaryāṇi bhārata

Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) is still speaking, to Arjuna (अर्जुन).

The verse

See the Ādityas (आदित्य), the Vasus (वसु), the Rudras (रुद्र), the two Aśvins (अश्विन्), and the Maruts (मरुत्); see many wonders never seen before, descendant of Bharata (भरत).

नेपालीमा

आदित्य, वसु, रुद्र, दुई अश्विन् र मरुत् हेर। हे भरतका सन्तान, पहिले कहिल्यै नदेखिएका धेरै आश्चर्य हेर।

Where it sits

The forms get names. They are the gods, and they are wonders. "Never seen before" prepares the next verse: the place he will see them is one body.

The phrases

पश्य आदित्यान् वसून् रुद्रान् अश्विनौ मरुतः तथा paśya ādityān vasūn rudrān aśvinau marutaḥ tathā is a list of gods, all accusative, all under the one imperative. The dual aśvinau (अश्विनौ) is the pair. The others are plural.

bahūni adṛṣṭa-pūrvāṇi paśya āścaryāṇi (बहूनि अदृष्ट-पूर्वाणि पश्य आश्चर्याणि) is the second paśya (पश्य). See many wonders that have not been seen before. The neuter plural is the wonders, not the gods of the first line.

Sanskrit in this line

बहूनि + अदृष्ट bahūni + adṛṣṭa is recited bahūny adṛṣṭa (बहून्यदृष्ट). i (इ) before a different vowel becomes y (य्). The y (य्) stays with the first word. मरुतः + तथा marutaḥ + tathā is marutas tathā (मरुतस्तथा): aḥ (अः) before voiceless t (त्) becomes s (स्).

Say it back

The list, and the dual. If aśvinau (अश्विनौ) comes out plural, the two have been lost in the crowd.
