Arjuna (अर्जुन) is speaking, to Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण). From here through 11.50 each quarter is one line of eleven syllables. Meter: triṣṭubh (त्रिष्टुभ्). Four quarters, eleven syllables each, forty-four in the verse.

The verse

Arjuna (अर्जुन) said: I see the gods in your body, O god, and all the hosts of beings, Brahmā (ब्रह्मा) seated on the lotus, the lord, the seers, and the divine serpents.

नेपालीमा

अर्जुनले भने, हे देव, म तपाईंको शरीरमा देवताहरू र प्राणीका सबै समूह देख्छु, कमलमा बसेका ब्रह्मा, स्वामी, ऋषिहरू र दिव्य सर्पहरू।

Where it sits

The long line begins, and the first thing the divine eye reports is a crowd inside one body. Mouths and eyes of the form itself come in the next verse. Here the mouths are not yet his. The beings are.

The phrases

paśyāmi devān tava deva dehe (पश्यामि देवान् तव देव देहे) opens the report. I see the gods in your body. dehe (देहे) is the place Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) named in 11.7, now filled.

sarvān tathā bhūta-viśeṣa-saṅghān (सर्वान् तथा भूत-विशेष-सङ्घान्) adds the hosts. Not only the gods. The crowds of the different beings.

ब्रह्माणम् ईशम् कमल-आसन-स्थम् ऋषीन् च सर्वान् उरगान् च दिव्यान् brahmāṇam īśam kamala-āsana-stham ṛṣīn ca sarvān uragān ca divyān names who is inside. Brahmā (ब्रह्मा) on his lotus seat, the lord, all the seers, and the divine serpents.

Sanskrit in this line

कमल-आसन-स्थम् + ऋषीन् kamala-āsana-stham + ṛṣīn is split across the quarter as कमलासनस्थ- / मृषींश्च. The hyphen is the verse, not a teaching mark. m (म्) before ṛ (ऋ) is taken into the next syllable, and the line prints mṛ (मृ). The word is still stham (स्थम्), "seated," and the next word is still ṛṣīn (ऋषीन्). देवान् + तव devān + tava is devāṃs tava (देवांस्तव): n (न्) before t (त्) becomes anusvāra, and s (स्) is heard between them.

Say it back

Who is in the body. If the serpents and the seers drop out and only "the gods" remain, the line was shortened.
