The verse

You are the first god, the ancient person, the supreme resting place of this universe; you are the knower and the thing to be known and the supreme abode; by you the universe is spread, O endless form.

The phrases

त्वम् आदि-देवः पुरुषः पुराणः tvam ādi-devaḥ puruṣaḥ purāṇaḥ repeats the person of 11.18 as the ancient one, and calls him the first god.

त्वम् अस्य विश्वस्य परम् निधानम् tvam asya viśvasya param nidhānam is the resting place again, the same words as 11.18, said while he is still afraid.

vettā asi vedyam ca param ca dhāma tvayā tatam viśvam (वेत्ता असि वेद्यम् च परम् च धाम त्वया ततम् विश्वम्) puts knower and known on one person. You are the knower and what is to be known and the supreme abode. By you the universe is spread.

Sanskrit in this line

पुराणः + त्वम् purāṇaḥ + tvam is broken across the quarter as पुराणस्- / त्वमस्य. aḥ (अः) before voiceless t (त्) becomes s (स्). The hyphen keeps that s (स्) on the first line. वेत्ता + असि vettā + asi is vettāsi (वेत्तासि). The same build as jetāsi (जेतासि) in 11.34. There it was "you will conquer." Here, beside vedyam (वेद्यम्), it is "you are the knower."

Say it back

Knower, known, and abode. If he is only the knower, vedyam (वेद्यम्) was dropped.
