Sanskrit in this line
दर्शयाम् आस darśayām āsa and आश्वासयाम् आस āśvāsayām āsa are both periphrastic perfects, as in 11.9. Two causatives, one helper-verb shape. तथा + उक्त्वा tathā + uktvā is tathoktvā (तथोक्त्वा): ā (आ) plus u (उ) is o (ओ). सौम्य-वपुः + महात्मा saumya-vapuḥ + mahātmā is saumyavapur mahātmā (सौम्यवपुर्महात्मा): uḥ (उः) before m (म्) becomes ur (उर्).
Say it back
What he showed again, and what kind of body he became. If the body is still terrible, saumya-vapuḥ (सौम्य-वपुः) was missed.
