अर्जुन उवाच
दृष्ट्वेदं मानुषं रूपं तव सौम्यं जनार्दन ।
इदानीमस्मि संवृत्तः सचेताः प्रकृतिं गतः ॥

arjuna uvāca
dṛṣṭvedaṃ mānuṣaṃ rūpaṃ tava saumyaṃ janārdana
idānīm asmi saṃvṛttaḥ sacetāḥ prakṛtiṃ gataḥ

Arjuna (अर्जुन) is speaking, to Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण). The verse is eight syllables to the quarter again.

The verse

Arjuna (अर्जुन) said: Having seen this gentle human form of yours, Janārdana (जनार्दन), I am now restored, in my right mind, returned to myself.

नेपालीमा

अर्जुनले भने, हे जनार्दन, तपाईंको यो कोमल मानवीय रूप देखेर म अब सम्हालिएको छु, ठीक मनमा छु, आफूमा फर्केको छु।

Where it sits

saumya-vapuḥ (सौम्य-वपुः) in 11.50 is confirmed by the man who was afraid. The divine eye's work is over. Kṛṣṇa (कृष्ण) will say how rare the form was, and then how a person comes to him without it.

Split: दृष्ट्वा + इदम् + मानुषम् + रूपम् + तव + सौम्यम् + जनार्दन + इदानीम् + अस्मि + संवृत्तः + स-चेताः + प्रकृतिम् + गतः

The phrases

dṛṣṭvā idam mānuṣam rūpam tava saumyam (दृष्ट्वा इदम् मानुषम् रूपम् तव सौम्यम्) is the form that calmed him. Having seen this gentle human form of yours.

इदानीम् अस्मि संवृत्तः स-चेताः प्रकृतिम् गतः idānīm asmi saṃvṛttaḥ sa-cetāḥ prakṛtim gataḥ is the report he owes. Now I am restored, mind together, returned to my own nature.

Sanskrit in this line

sa-cetāḥ (स-चेताः) is a bahuvrīhi, "whose mind is with him." The nominative of a compound ending in cetas (चेतस्) is --cetāḥ (चेताः), as hṛṣṭa-romā (हृष्ट-रोमा) in 11.14 was the nominative of a stem in --man (मन्). दृष्ट्वा + इदम् dṛṣṭvā + idam is dṛṣṭvedam (दृष्ट्वेदम्): ā (आ) plus i (इ) is e (ए).

Say it back

Which form restored him, and what he has returned to. If the form is still the universal one, mānuṣam (मानुषम्) was changed.
