Sanskrit in this line

हिनस्ति + आत्मना hinasti + ātmanā is hinasty ātmanā (हिनस्त्यात्मना). i (इ) before a different vowel becomes y (य्).

ātmanā (आत्मना) and ātmānam (आत्मानम्) are the same noun, ātman (आत्मन्), in two cases. The instrumental is "by." The accusative is the one who would be harmed. The case is the whole difference.

Say it back

Say what he does not do to the self. If ātmanā (आत्मना) and ātmānam (आत्मानम्) collapse into one word, stay here. One case wounds, the other would be wounded.
