The verse

These, Bhārata (भारत), are the divine endowment of one born to it.

नेपालीमा

यी, हे भारत, त्यसतर्फ जन्मेको व्यक्तिको दैवी सम्पद् हुन्।

Where it sits

Fearlessness, purity of being, standing firm in the yoga of knowledge, and every nominative since 16.1 receive their name here: one divine endowment. The opposite list is the next verse.

The phrases

तेजः क्षमा धृतिः शौचम् अद्रोहः न अतिमानिता tejaḥ kṣamā dhṛtiḥ śaucam adrohaḥ na atimānitā is the last of the nominatives. Splendor, patience, firmness, purity, absence of malice, and the refusal of too much pride. na (न) sits on atimānitā (अतिमानिता) only.

भवन्ति सम्पदम् दैवीम् अभिजातस्य भारत bhavanti sampadaṃ daivīm abhijātasya bhārata is the verb the list has been waiting for. The nominatives from 16.1 on are what "they" are. sampadam daivīm (सम्पदम् दैवीम्) is the accusative they amount to: the divine endowment. abhijātasya (अभिजातस्य) is whose endowment it is, the one born to it.

Sanskrit in this line

न + अतिमानिता na + atimānitā is recited nātimānitā (नातिमानिता). अ + अ a + a becomes ā (आ). The na (न) negates atimānitā (अतिमानिता), "too much pride." It does not negate bhavanti (भवन्ति). Restore the split before you decide what is being refused.

Say it back

Cover the English. Say what the list is, and whose it is. If daivīm (दैवीम्) comes out as a goddess's name rather than the endowment's, stay here.
