The verse
Bound by hundreds of snares of hope, given over to desire and anger, they strive by unjust means to heap up wealth for the enjoyment of desires.

The phrases
āśā-pāśa-śataiḥ baddhāḥ kāma-krodha-parāyaṇāḥ (आशा-पाश-शतैः बद्धाः काम-क्रोध-परायणाः) is the condition they strive in. Hope is a snare, and the snares are in the hundreds. Desire and anger are the resort they do not leave.
ईहन्ते काम-भोग-अर्थम् अन्यायेन अर्थ-सञ्चयान् īhante kāma-bhoga-artham anyāyena artha-sañcayān is the striving. The object is the hoards. The instrumental anyāyena (अन्यायेन) is the means: not by what is right. kāma-bhoga-artham (काम-भोग-अर्थम्) is why.
Sanskrit in this line
शतैः + बद्धाः śataiḥ + baddhāḥ is recited śatair baddhāḥ (शतैर्बद्धाः). Visarga after ai (ऐ), before a voiced consonant, becomes r (र्). baddhāḥ (बद्धाः) is a separate nominative, "bound." It is not a suffix on the hundreds.
Say it back
Cover the English. Say what binds them and what they strive to heap. If anyāyena (अन्यायेन) is dropped, the hoarding has been made clean.
