yajñatapaḥkriyāḥ dānakriyāḥ ca vividhāḥ kriyante (यज्ञतपःक्रियाः दानक्रियाः च विविधाः क्रियन्ते) is what is done. Various acts of sacrifice, of austerity, and of gift. The passive plural has the acts as subject.
mokṣakāṅkṣibhiḥ (मोक्षकाङ्क्षिभिः) is who does them. By people who long for release. The instrumental is the agent of kriyante (क्रियन्ते).
Sanskrit in this line
तत् + इति + अनभिसन्धाय tat + iti + anabhisandhāya is recited tad ity anabhisandhāya (तदित्यनभिसन्धाय). t (त्) before i (इ) is written d (द्): tad iti (तदिति). Then इ + अ i + a becomes ya (य): ity anabhisandhāya (इत्यनभिसन्धाय). The an (अन्) at the front of the gerund is the negative. Lose it, and the fruit is aimed at again, which is 17.12.
Say it back
tat (तत्), and the fruit not aimed at, by people who long for release. If abhisandhāya (अभिसन्धाय) is said without the negative, stay here.
