The phrases
api vā (वा) turns the view. What is new at the originating sentence of a rite, and what does not itself lay a quality down, is the name of the rite. Udbhid will make known an offering other than the jyotiṣṭoma (ज्योतिष्टोम). The word will name that offering.
The word is for the action, and the ending serves the action. yajeta means he should do by means of an offering. The offering is the instrument. Udbhid is also in the instrumental, so it too is an instrument. The two instrumentals share one locus: by the offering called Udbhid. If Udbhid were a material, one would have to supply the sense possessing in order to put a material in the same case as the offering. Between the direct ending and a supplied sense, the direct ending is stronger.
The name is not a second injunction. It restates the offering that the verb is enjoining. The parts of the word can describe it, as breaking forth or making the cattle known, and Abhijit and Viśvajit (विश्वजित्) likewise from conquering. That description names the act. It does not command a separate digging or a separate victory. One sentence is not split into two commands.
Sanskrit in this line
The pāṭha (पाठ) writes yadutpattāvapūrvam (यदुत्पत्तावपूर्वम्) as one string. It is yat, then utpattau, then apūrvam (अपूर्वम्). au plus a is heard as āva (आव), so utpattāv (उत्पत्ताव्) apūrvam (अपूर्वम्). syāt (स्यात्) before yat is heard as syād (स्याद्).
Say it back
Say that Udbhid is the name of the offering, in the instrumental because the offering is the instrument of he should sacrifice.
